History
ColoradoSwimAcademy opened its doors to the public on August 11, 2003 as part of a project to research swimming and to provide quality swimmers into the local swim team. It had a humble beginning, with just 3 swimmers. As word got out, the numbers swelled to 20, mostly younger brothers and sisters of current swim team members who’s parents were concerned about them falling in during practice (a concern that was realized three times).
In March 2005, CSA expanded to become a full time lesson company with 43 regular swimmers and multi-level progression. The program quickly expanded to over 130 swimmers taking monthly lessons. Almost all growth was due to word of mouth advertising.
On April 15, 2005, CSA took the next step, creating its own swim team of various level swimmers and abilities. The CSA Sharks are rapidly expanding to provide its swimmers with the best opportunity for success in the sport of swimming.
